About the Role

As part of Walmart’s Auto Care Center, you will support both the sales floor and service bay, ensuring that every tire and battery service meets the company’s standards for safety, quality, and value. You’ll work alongside fellow associates to create a welcoming environment where members receive prompt, reliable assistance.

What You'll Do

• Greet members, assess their tire and battery needs, and recommend appropriate products
• Mount, dismount, balance, and rotate tires using proper torque specifications
• Test, charge, and install automotive batteries, following all safety protocols
• Perform flat tire repairs and puncture sealing in accordance with industry standards
• Maintain accurate inventory of tires, batteries, and related accessories, restocking as needed
• Keep the service area clean organized work of hazards
• Process transactions, handle payments, and provide clear documentation for services performed
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and ensure timely completion of work orders
• Adhere to Walmart’s safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and hazardous material handling

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in tire installation, battery service, or general automotive maintenance is preferred
• Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment (typically up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools, air tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, helpful demeanor
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive certifications are a plus
