Auto Care Center Technician

About This Position

As an Auto Care Center Technician at Walmart's Pensacola Escambia County facility, you'll perform essential automotive maintenance, repairs, and inspections that keep our customers' vehicles running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on, full-time position where your technical expertise and customer service mindset directly impact both vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $17 to $30 per hour, based on experience, location requirements, and specific circumstances. Additional performance incentives and schedule-based premiums may also apply.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and industry-standard testing equipment
• Complete minor to moderate repairs, such as battery service, brake maintenance, and belt replacements
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and document findings clearly for customers
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and manage shop safety standards
• Communicate repair needs and recommendations to customers in clear, professional language
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and Walmart service standards

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or equivalent hands-on training
• Proficiency using diagnostic and hand tools common in automotive service
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to mechanical detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and take direction
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
