About This Position

As a Border Patrol Agent with Customs and Border Protection, you'll take on responsibilities at the frontlines of homeland security. Border Patrol Agents at the Sells station serve Pima County and surrounding areas, working to prevent illegal border crossings, detect contraband, and respond to security threats. Key Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned border sectors on foot, vehicle, and horseback to detect and apprehend individuals crossing illegally
• Inspect vehicles, cargo, and baggage at ports of entry and checkpoints for contraband and prohibited items
• Conduct interviews, document evidence, and prepare detailed reports for investigations and prosecutions
• Respond to emergency situations, pursue suspects, and apprehend violators using approved law enforcement techniques
• Maintain communication with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies for coordinated border security
• Testify in court proceedings related to arrests and investigations

What We're Looking For

• U.S. citizenship and valid passport or passport card
• Excellent vision and hearing; ability to distinguish colors
• Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
• Sound physical and mental health; willingness to pass medical and psychological evaluations
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Fluency in English; Spanish language skills strongly preferred
• Willingness to relocate and work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
