Responsibilities

• Conduct patrol operations and surveillance along the border to detect and prevent unauthorized entry
• Investigate smuggling activities and interdict contraband at checkpoints and remote locations
• Operate and maintain agency vehicles and equipment across varied terrain and weather conditions
• Prepare detailed incident reports and provide testimony in legal proceedings related to enforcement actions
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners on joint border security operations
• Exercise sound judgment in dynamic, high-pressure situations requiring rapid decision-making

Who We're Looking For

• Prior law enforcement officer (LEO) experience that qualifies you for this grade level position
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a security clearance investigation
• Physical fitness and capability to work in challenging terrain and variable weather
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-agency coordination
• Willingness to work irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain required federal credentials
