Merchandising Specialist

Acosta Group is hiring a Merchandising Specialist in Wheaton, Montgomery County to join our dynamic retail merchandising team. This is a full-time position focused on building strong retail partnerships and driving product visibility at the point of sale.

Position Summary

As a Merchandising Specialist at Acosta Group, you'll manage retail relationships and ensure optimal product placement and presentation in assigned retail environments. You'll serve as a key link between our company and retail partners, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards and contributing to sales growth through strategic shelf management and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct store visits and audits to verify product placement, pricing accuracy, and promotional compliance
• Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers and retail staff in your territory
• Execute merchandising standards including product displays, signage, and stock rotation
• Monitor inventory levels and report stock-out situations to ensure product availability
• Collect market data and competitive intelligence during store visits
• Document activities, observations, and results through accurate field reporting
• Support promotional campaigns and seasonal product launches in retail locations

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some retail or merchandising experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with retail partners
• Attention to detail and ability to follow merchandising guidelines precisely
• Reliability and professional appearance required for in-store representation
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for field visits
• Ability to work independently and manage your territory efficiently
• Comfort with technology and basic data entry for field reporting
