Role Overview

As a Cardiovascular Disease Specialist at Merck, you combine deep clinical knowledge with customer-focused expertise to expand access to our cardiovascular therapies. You'll own relationships within your assigned territory, becoming the go-to resource for medical professionals seeking evidence-based guidance on cardiovascular treatment options, clinical data, and patient management strategies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Build and nurture relationships with cardiologists, primary care physicians, and hospital system leaders in your territory
• Deliver clinical education on Merck's cardiovascular portfolio and relevant therapeutic areas
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Integrated Delivery Systems leaders to align clinical and commercial strategy
• Serve as the clinical voice and primary point of contact for customer inquiries and support needs
• Gather market feedback and clinical insights to inform product strategy and customer engagement
• Support account growth by identifying clinical opportunities and facilitating access to appropriate therapies

Qualifications

• PharmD, MD, DO, or equivalent advanced clinical degree in a healthcare discipline
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease, treatment pathways, and clinical evidence
• Proven ability to communicate complex medical information clearly to diverse audiences
• Experience in field-based medical sales, clinical affairs, or similar customer-facing healthcare role
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently within a territory
