About the Role

You'll serve as a clinical expert and strategic partner for Merck's cardiovascular portfolio, translating scientific innovation into meaningful customer conversations. Working collaboratively with Account Executives, Integrated Delivery Systems leaders, and field colleagues, you'll identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes while supporting the sales team's market success. Your deep knowledge of cardiovascular disease and therapeutic options will position you as a valued resource for providers and healthcare administrators throughout your territory.

What You'll Do

• Deliver clinical expertise and product knowledge to healthcare providers, explaining efficacy, safety data, and treatment considerations
• Develop territory strategies to increase awareness and adoption of cardiovascular medicines among physicians and health systems
• Present clinical evidence and case studies to key opinion leaders, physician groups, and nursing staff
• Serve as the primary clinical contact for customer accounts, addressing complex clinical questions and supporting evidence-based prescribing
• Collaborate with internal sales teams to identify and capture market opportunities
• Maintain strong relationships with healthcare system leaders and clinical decision-makers
• Report market feedback and competitive intelligence to inform strategy
• Represent Merck with professionalism and integrity in all customer interactions

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (MSN, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) with expertise in cardiology or cardiovascular medicine
• Strong foundation in cardiovascular disease pathology, pharmacology, and clinical management
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills—able to translate clinical data for diverse audiences
• Proven ability to build credibility with physicians and healthcare administrators
• Self-motivated professional comfortable managing territory accounts independently
• Experience collaborating effectively across functional teams in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting
• Willingness to travel within your territory as needed
