About the Role

As Social Producer for CNN Digital Products & Services, you'll be at the intersection of journalism, content creation, and audience engagement. You'll develop and execute social media strategies that amplify our journalism, build community, and drive meaningful interaction with our global audience. Your work will span multiple platforms and formats, from breaking news to feature storytelling, always focused on what resonates with real people.

What You'll Do

• Create original, platform-native social content that reflects our editorial voice while maximizing reach and engagement
• Monitor real-time trends, news cycles, and audience behavior to identify timely storytelling and growth opportunities
• Collaborate with editorial, creative, and product teams to bring news and feature content to social audiences
• Write compelling copy for social posts, captions, and headlines optimized for each platform
• Manage community engagement and foster meaningful conversations within moderation guidelines
• Track performance metrics, analyze what's working, and refine strategy based on data and audience feedback
• Stay current with platform features, algorithm changes, and emerging social media trends

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience producing content for social media platforms at scale
• Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms
• Strong written communication skills and a natural voice for engaging digital audiences
• Ability to spot cultural moments and act quickly while maintaining editorial standards
• Experience with social analytics tools and translating data into actionable insights
• Understanding of news, digital media, or entertainment content preferred
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
