About the Role
As a Medical Science Liaison for our IBD immunology portfolio, you'll serve as a credentialed scientific authority, building and strengthening relationships with key healthcare professionals in gastroenterology and immunology. This is a director-level position designed for someone who thrives on translating clinical science into meaningful conversations that advance patient care and support Merck's strategic priorities in growth and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a scientific resource and trusted advisor to gastroenterologists, immunologists, and other specialists across your territory
- Synthesize and communicate clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and medical literature relevant to IBD immunology
- Facilitate scientific dialogue between Merck and healthcare opinion leaders to build deeper understanding of our immunology pipeline and approved therapies
- Support medical education initiatives and provide evidence-based responses to scientific inquiries
- Gather market insights and clinical feedback to inform product strategy and cross-functional collaboration
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the competitive landscape and emerging therapies in inflammatory bowel disease
- Document activities and outcomes to support regulatory compliance and field reporting
What We're Looking For
- A doctoral credential in a life science discipline—PhD, PharmD, DNP, or MD
- Strong foundation in immunology, gastroenterology, or related clinical science
