MSD is hiring a Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) focused on Immunology and Gastrointestinal (GI) therapeutic areas for our Southeast region. About the Role

As a Regional Medical Scientific Director and Medical Science Liaison, you'll act as MSD's medical authority for healthcare providers, fostering scientific conversations and supporting evidence-based treatment decisions in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) immunology. Your work directly impacts patient care in the Southeast US while advancing MSD's strategic operating priorities through credible, data-driven partnerships.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute regional medical engagement strategies with physicians and healthcare systems focused on IBD immunology and GI therapeutics
  • Conduct scientific presentations, provide expert medical information, and facilitate clinical discussions with key healthcare providers
  • Stay current with clinical research, treatment guidelines, and scientific developments in immunology and gastrointestinal disease
  • Build professional relationships with medical stakeholders to support informed therapeutic conversations
  • Document interactions and provide medical insights to internal teams, contributing to strategic planning

What We're Looking For

  • Advanced degree required: PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD, or equivalent credentialing in a healthcare or scientific discipline
  • Strong background in medical science, immunology, or clinical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to clinical audiences
  • Growth-oriented mindset with proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, improvement-focused environment
  • Regional presence in the Southeast US; willingness to travel as needed for medical engagement
