Position Summary

As an entry-level Border Patrol Agent at the GL-5/7 grade levels, you'll be hired into a dynamic federal agency protecting the United States' borders from criminal activity, smuggling, and unauthorized entry. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols and surveillance operations along assigned border sectors to detect and intercept illicit activities
• Apprehend individuals attempting unauthorized border entry and process them according to federal protocols
• Investigate smuggling operations, trafficking networks, and contraband-related criminal enterprises
• Operate checkpoint and inspection systems to screen vehicles, cargo, and persons entering the United States
• Maintain detailed incident reports, evidence documentation, and case files for legal proceedings
• Participate in joint operations with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
• Respond to emergency situations and provide security support as directed

What We're Looking For

• U.S. citizenship and a valid driver's license
• Vision correctable to 20/20 in each eye; hearing within acceptable standards
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance and pass thorough background investigation
• Excellent physical conditioning and stamina for field work in varied terrain and weather
• Sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Strong communication skills and capacity to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to relocate and adapt to shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
