Public Consulting Group is hiring a Health Consultant for our Five Points, Wake County office. This is a full-time position with a growing consulting firm dedicated to improving public health systems and outcomes across the United States.
About the Role
As a Health Consultant at PCG, you'll work on strategic initiatives that strengthen how state and local health agencies operate. Your role bridges analysis, implementation, and stakeholder engagement—helping public health organizations modernize their programs, improve efficiency, and better serve their communities. You'll partner directly with health department leaders to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct process reviews and operational assessments for health programs and departments
- Develop data-driven recommendations to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery
- Collaborate with agency staff to design and implement system improvements
- Support project planning, documentation, and stakeholder communication
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts and policy development initiatives
- Travel to client sites as needed to understand operational context and build relationships
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in public health, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience in healthcare, public administration, or program management (preferred)
- Professional maturity and ability to work effectively with government and nonprofit partners
- Willingness to travel and adaptability to client-driven environments
