Health Consultant

Public Consulting Group is hiring a Health Consultant to join our team in Pierre, Hughes County. This is a full-time opportunity to drive meaningful improvements in public health operations and policy implementation.

About the Role

As a Health Consultant at Public Consulting Group, you'll work directly with state and local health agencies to modernize programs, strengthen organizational systems, and expand access to critical services. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving to help agencies navigate complex challenges and achieve their mission of serving the public.

What You'll Do

• Partner with health department leadership to assess current operations and identify improvement opportunities
• Design and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and service delivery
• Develop strategic recommendations grounded in data analysis and best practices
• Support policy development and program planning aligned with public health objectives
• Engage stakeholders across agencies to build buy-in and ensure successful adoption of solutions
• Prepare reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to decision-makers
• Contribute to project teams delivering health system transformation initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare management, business administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Demonstrated experience in health program management, operations, or consulting
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and metrics
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders
• Initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Knowledge of public sector health operations or familiarity with healthcare delivery systems is valued
