General Catering Manager

WSH Group is looking for an experienced General Catering Manager to lead catering operations at our Cranbrook, England location. As a full-time member of our team, you'll oversee food service delivery, manage kitchen staff, and maintain the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

This is a hands-on management position where you'll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of our catering service. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensure consistent quality across all meals and services, manage budgets and resources efficiently, and work closely with stakeholders to understand and meet their catering needs. Your focus will be on delivering nutritious, well-prepared meals whilst maintaining strict health, safety, and hygiene compliance.

Core Duties

• Plan, oversee, and manage all catering operations and kitchen activities
• Lead, train, and supervise catering and kitchen staff members
• Design menus that meet dietary requirements and nutritional standards
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times
• Monitor food costs, manage budgets, and order supplies from approved vendors
• Ensure quality control across all meals prepared and served
• Respond to customer feedback and address any concerns promptly
• Maintain detailed records of food service operations and compliance

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing catering operations or institutional food services
• Valid Food Safety and Hygiene certification
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food preparation
• Excellent organisational and budgeting abilities
• Customer service mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work flexibly and respond to operational demands
