Fullstack Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense technology organization building operational software for live field deployments. Our talent team is searching for a Fullstack Engineer to join their product engineering team in Paris.

This is a product-focused role where you'll own features end to end, with significant emphasis on user-facing interfaces and workflows. You'll translate operational needs and field feedback into core product capabilities that serve users working with complex information under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own complete features from scoping and design through backend implementation and production deployment on an operational planning platform
• Build clear, reliable front-end workflows for users managing complex information in demanding environments
• Solve geospatial challenges including moving data between backend and frontend through tile servers and executing spatial queries with PostGIS
• Build and harden ML and LLM workflow orchestration, including retry logic, queueing, and long-running jobs using LangGraph and LangChain
• Design for on-premise and appliance deployment where hardware, connectivity, and resource constraints are critical considerations
• Collaborate with product, design, and field teams to convert user feedback into features that work across multiple client deployments

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong full-stack production experience with demonstrated ability to own both interfaces and backend systems
• Solid TypeScript and React skills, plus Python experience or ability to quickly become productive with FastAPI
• Proven track record taking features from ambiguous problems through release and iteration
• Product judgment and exceptional attention to detail, particularly for customer-facing workflows
• Ability to make strategic decisions about what to build immediately, what to make durable, and what to defer
• EU or UK citizenship (contractual requirement for defense sector work)

Preferred experience:

• PostGIS, GIS, mapping, or geospatial systems
• LangGraph, LangChain, or multi-step ML and LLM workflows
• Deploying software on-premise, offline, or as appliances
• Front-end performance optimization and data-dense interfaces
• Prior work in defense, government, or dual-use technology sectors

Pay
