About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare services organization seeking an RN Case Manager to join their remote workers' compensation team. This is a fully remote position available across the United States, with preference for candidates in Arizona or Washington state.
We're looking for a licensed registered nurse with workers' compensation experience who wants the flexibility of remote work while making a meaningful impact on injured workers' recovery and return-to-work outcomes. You'll work independently while collaborating with claims teams, medical providers, employers, and injured workers to coordinate care and facilitate optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments via telephone to evaluate injuries, treatment plans, psychosocial needs, and support systems
- Build and maintain professional relationships with claims examiners, clients, injured workers, attorneys, and medical providers
- Identify barriers to recovery and return to work, developing creative solutions to address them
- Negotiate treatment plans and disability duration with providers using medical and disability duration guidelines
- Identify opportunities to expedite care while managing costs and supporting timely medical recovery
- Recommend alternate clinical resources to support claim resolution
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy while adhering to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards
- Document case activities and collaborate with the broader claims team
What We're Looking For
- Current unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state or territory (required)
- Minimum 1.5 years of workers' compensation experience (required)
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred
- Certification in case management, rehabilitation nursing, or related specialty highly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with computer keyboarding and telephonic communication
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
