About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization that is pioneering interactive digital content experiences through cutting-edge AI research. Our client is seeking an Applied Science Intern - World Model to join their research team in the United States.
This internship offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of computer vision, generative AI, and interactive media. You'll contribute to groundbreaking research that transforms how people engage with digital content across multiple domains.
Responsibilities
- Explore applications of World Models for understanding, simulating, and generating sports or eSports match content
- Design, develop, and optimize AI video generation models with emphasis on World Models and autoregressive architectures
- Develop and implement state-of-the-art algorithms for synthesizing realistic match footage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale video-action datasets
- Design and implement complex data-cleaning and pre-processing pipelines
- Define validation strategies and implement custom evaluation metrics for synthetic versus real content
- Stay current with latest research from top venues (CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, ICCV) and integrate findings into the research roadmap
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a PhD (preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area)
- Published research at top Computer Vision, AI, or Graphics conferences (CVPR, ICML, ICCV, Siggraph, NeurIPS)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building and deploying generative computer vision models (GANs, DiT, VAE)
- Solid understanding of neural architectures including Transformers, Denoising Diffusion Models, RNNs, Sequence Models, and CNNs
- Strong foundation in Variational Autoencoders and ELBO
- Basic understanding of Reinforcement Learning concepts
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
- Hands-on, versatile approach to problem-solving with excellent collaboration skills
