Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential fintech organization building payment infrastructure for educational institutions. As a Full Stack Product Engineer, you will own features end-to-end from initial concept through production launch. You'll work directly with technical leadership to develop and optimize backend services built on Node.js and TypeScript, manage database architecture, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS. Your role includes making architectural decisions, gathering customer feedback from real-world use cases, and translating requirements into scalable solutions. You'll be responsible for code quality, testing, and maintaining clean, maintainable systems that support thousands of users reliably and securely.
What We're Looking For
- Practical experience as a Full Stack Web Developer with demonstrated ability to ship software from concept to release, whether through employment or personal projects
- Strong knowledge of modern web technologies including TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React or comparable frameworks
- Willingness to learn and work with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure (prior experience is a plus but not required)
- Self-starter mindset with enthusiasm for taking ownership rather than waiting for direction
- Passion for building quality software with clean engineering practices, even when requirements are evolving
- Ability to contribute strategic ideas and participate actively in technical discussions
- German language skills required for this Berlin-based role
