Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential water technology organization seeking an Application Engineer (m/w/d) for pump and system solutions in Pulheim. In this varied position, you will combine technical expertise with customer orientation and accompany demanding projects from initial inquiry to successful implementation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Technical design and dimensioning of pumps, pump stations, and system solutions for demanding customer applications
• Providing technical consultation to customers and analyzing their individual requirements
• Preparing, calculating, and tracking quotations
• Developing modernization, retrofit, and replacement concepts for existing equipment, including third-party manufacturer installations
• Independently managing and processing projects and orders from inquiry through to invoicing
• Conducting facility assessments and technical clarifications directly at customer sites
• Supporting existing and new customers throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Addressing technical questions and providing support in complaint and warranty cases
• Collaborating closely with sales, service, and other internal departments
• Supporting complex technical problem-solving and commissioning activities
• Identifying customer needs and new business opportunities within your area of responsibility

What We're Looking For

Our talent team is seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Completed technical apprenticeship or degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, supply engineering, or comparable field
• Experience in pump technology, ideally in water or wastewater applications
• Knowledge of pump design and hydraulic systems is advantageous
• Strong technical understanding and ability to translate individual customer requirements into suitable solutions
• Confident and professional demeanor when dealing with customers and business partners
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Good knowledge of common MS Office applications and experience with ERP systems
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits in the regional area
