Senior Scrum Master Banking & Insurance (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital services organization seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to guide agile development teams working with banking and insurance clients. In this fully remote role, you will facilitate teams operating within large enterprise structures, ensuring focus and effectiveness in regulated environments.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Serving as Scrum Master for one or more development teams on client projects in the banking and insurance sector
• Preparing, facilitating, and continuously improving Scrum events (Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective) in a fully remote setting
• Identifying and removing impediments across team boundaries and coordinating with client stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with Product Owners on backlog refinement, prioritization, and requirement definition
• Coaching teams and individuals in agile practices, with attention to the specifics of regulated environments including compliance, release processes, and documentation requirements
• Working with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches in scaled frameworks involving multiple teams
• Providing transparency on progress and team health through meaningful metrics
• Facilitating workshops on collaboration, prioritization, and process improvement
• Contributing to internal development through knowledge sharing, learning sessions, and process optimization

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings several years of professional experience as a Scrum Master, with substantial time spent supporting development teams in large corporate structures. Experience in banking, insurance, or other regulated industries is essential for this position.

Required qualifications:

• Multi-year experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise environments
• Proven background in banking or insurance sector projects or other regulated industries
• Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with scaled setups such as SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus
• Track record facilitating distributed, fully remote teams
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, including stakeholder management at executive levels
• Fluent German (written and spoken); good English proficiency
• Basic technical understanding of software development to work effectively with development teams

Preferred:

• Scrum Master certification (PSM II or equivalent)
