Software Developer (gn) @ Autonomous Navigation Venture, Dresden

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential deep-tech venture developing advanced navigation systems for autonomous aerial platforms. This early-stage organization is transitioning from proven research prototypes to production-ready solutions, and you'll join at a pivotal moment working directly with the founding engineering team.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Building and optimizing computer vision pipelines for visual inertial odometry and simultaneous localization and mapping
• Implementing AI-based object detection and segmentation on embedded GPU platforms
• Developing and integrating autonomy stack components using modern robotics middleware
• Deploying containerized applications on embedded Linux systems for flight hardware
• Running simulations and participating in real-world flight testing near Dresden
• Collaborating closely with the three-person founding team on core navigation algorithms

What We're Looking For

• Strong software engineering foundation in C++ and Python with Git proficiency
• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related technical field
• Self-motivated individual who takes ownership and drives projects forward independently
• Excellent collaborator comfortable working in small, fast-moving teams
• Solid English communication skills (German is beneficial but not required)
• Genuine interest in computer vision, robotics, and building systems that operate in challenging real-world conditions
