Bulgarian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader (Part -time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential localization services organization in their search for a part-time Bulgarian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader. This is a long-term engagement with no set end date, offering stable work for the right candidate.

In this role, you will review and refine localized content to ensure it reads naturally and accurately for Bulgarian-speaking users. You'll check grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural appropriateness across digital products. Your work will directly impact the quality of multilingual content used by global enterprises.

This position is open to candidates based in France, Germany, Greece, Romania, or Spain.

Responsibilities

• Review and proofread Bulgarian localized content across software, mobile applications, and documentation
• Execute test cases and identify localization defects in user interfaces and digital products
• Log bugs and errors accurately using internal bug-tracking systems following established best practices
• Verify that reported issues have been correctly resolved after fixes are implemented
• Translate content from English to Bulgarian when needed
• Serve as a subject matter expert for linguistic questions related to Bulgarian language and culture
• Apply project-specific quality standards, style guides, glossaries, and client checklists
• Prioritize tasks efficiently and complete assignments within required timeframes
• Troubleshoot basic issues and communicate effectively with the project team

What We're Looking For

• Native-level fluency in Bulgarian with strong cultural awareness of Bulgaria
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to understand and prioritize tasks quickly and efficiently
• Experience or background in marketing, journalism, copy editing, proofreading, writing, translation, or localization
• Comfort working with bug-tracking tools and following testing instructions
• Ability to research and resolve linguistic questions independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately
