Founders Associate (m/f/d) – start in September 2026

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential robotics company that is scaling rapidly across Europe and the United States. Our client is seeking a Founders Associate to start in September 2026, working directly with the CEO on the organization's highest-priority initiatives. This is a Munich-based role with significant exposure to commercial, operational, and technical workstreams across multiple locations.

As a Founders Associate, you will execute critical projects that span customer engagement, market expansion, partner initiatives, board preparation, and process design. You will work across teams and geographies, taking loosely defined challenges and turning them into concrete progress. This role is designed as a springboard—within 18 to 24 months, you will gain deep knowledge of the business and be positioned for strong advancement opportunities as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Execute the CEO's top two or three strategic initiatives end-to-end, from understanding the situation to building a plan, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering results.
• Prepare and support critical sessions with investors, customers, and leadership; follow up to ensure agreed actions move forward.
• Translate initiatives into on-the-ground progress, working with internal teams, at customer sites, and in production environments.
• Run multiple workstreams in parallel, prioritizing your time and attention as the business demands.
• Step in to unblock slowed initiatives, identify bottlenecks early, and work with owners to resolve them.
• Build systems that make progress sustainable: clear ownership, working rhythms, progress tracking, early warnings, KPIs, dashboards, and playbooks.

What We're Looking For

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment such as investment banking, VC/PE, top-tier consulting, or an operating role at a well-funded startup (Founders Associate, BizOps, Chief of Staff, GTM Ops).
• A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or comparable experience.
• A bias for action: you prioritize good decisions today over perfect ones next month, commit once direction is set, and close loops without prompting.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, break them down, and return quickly with a plan and first steps already completed.
• Skill in moving people across teams without formal authority, through preparation, reliability, follow-through, and credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and an AI-native working style: advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, confidence handling data independently, and fluency with collaboration and productivity tools.
• Excellent storylining, slide writing, and communication skills to convey complex messages clearly.
• Willingness to work fully onsite in Munich and travel regularly to customer sites and locations in the United States (Austin and San Francisco area). Proximity to the team, the CEO, and production environments is essential.
• Very good English skills required; German is a plus.
