About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential publishing client in Berlin that serves the German education market. They're looking for a Graphic Designer to own operational design across print, textile, and digital assets. This is a hands-on role with direct impact—your work will reach hundreds of thousands of users annually.
You'll work independently within a small, high-reach team, designing products that set quality standards in their category. The role spans yearbook layouts, apparel collections, user-facing templates, and product design collaboration. You'll also contribute to international expansion efforts by creating adaptable design systems.
Responsibilities
- Design print publications for a nationwide user base, establishing visual quality benchmarks
- Create textile collections, prints, and graphics for apparel products
- Develop and maintain design templates and systems used by tens of thousands of end users
- Collaborate with the product team to improve in-app layout and design capabilities
- Build scalable design frameworks that support market expansion beyond Germany
- Maintain production-ready files and ensure print/textile specifications are met
- Integrate AI tools into design workflows for ideation, variation generation, and process automation
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience as a Graphic Designer (2+ years preferred, portfolio quality matters most)
- Strong proficiency in Figma with organized, collaborative file management practices
- Solid understanding of prepress workflows and print production requirements
- Textile design experience is a plus but not required
- Curiosity about AI in design processes; willingness to experiment with new tools
- Self-directed work style with strong prioritization skills; comfortable without hierarchical oversight
- Ability to deliver reliably during high-volume seasonal periods
- Creative, critical, and solution-oriented thinking
- Fluent German required (target audience and design content are German-language); good English is a plus
- Proactive communication style and collaborative mindset
