Environmental Health & Safety Regional Coordinator

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global organization in the life sciences sector, seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Regional Coordinator to support operations across Europe. This virtual role can be based in the UK, Netherlands, or Switzerland.

Our client takes environmental health and safety seriously as both an organizational commitment and cultural priority. In this role, you'll serve as a vital connection between global safety strategy and local implementation, partnering with business leaders across multiple European countries and functions.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with leaders across all business lines, helping them understand their role in creating safe, healthy workplaces
• Serve as advisor and collaborative partner for business and site leadership throughout the European region
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance that leaders can implement confidently
• Develop and facilitate engagement initiatives that make safety visible, relevant, and genuinely owned by teams
• Conduct root cause analysis and incident investigations, sharing learnings and improvement opportunities with leadership
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve EH&S programs that reflect diverse cultural contexts across European sites
• Partner with business line leaders to identify, evaluate, and proactively address workplace risks
• Coordinate program reviews and share best practices across regions
• Maintain current knowledge of European EH&S regulations, including country-specific occupational health and safety, environmental, and labor law requirements
• Manage compliance and timely reporting to relevant governing authorities across the region

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline
• Fluency in French and English is essential
• Proficiency in additional European languages is a significant advantage
• Knowledge and experience navigating current European EH&S regulations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across organizational leadership levels
• Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing operational leaders
• Track record of translating regulatory complexity into practical, people-centered programs
• Ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and geographies
