Publication Lead (Scientific Communications)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential biotechnology organization in their search for a Publication Lead to join their scientific communications function. This is a fully remote, contract position with strong potential for extension beyond the initial 12-month term.

We're looking for an experienced publications professional who can independently drive publication strategy and execution while collaborating across multiple scientific and medical teams. You'll be the central point of contact for all publication deliverables, from concept through final dissemination.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end publication planning and execution for clinical and scientific data
• Manage development of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and scientific presentations
• Coordinate across Medical Affairs, Clinical, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, investigators, and authors
• Oversee external medical writing agencies and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables
• Track publication timelines and manage multiple concurrent projects
• Ensure compliance with ICMJE, Good Publication Practice guidelines, and internal policies
• Support scientific congress submissions and peer-reviewed journal publications

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc) in Life Sciences or related discipline
• 5–7+ years of medical publications experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology settings
• Strong working knowledge of ICMJE and Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines
• Demonstrated experience leading publication plans and managing scientific communication deliverables
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Cell therapy experience is preferred but not required

Pay
