Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential retail technology organization seeking an Engineering Lead to drive their workforce management platform initiatives. This is a remote position based in the United States, offering the opportunity to architect and scale enterprise-grade solutions that impact operations across multiple channels and geographies.

In this role, you'll lead the technical strategy for workforce management systems, focusing on UKG ProWFM implementation and enterprise integration. You'll serve as the technical anchor for design, deployment, and continuous improvement of solutions that power timekeeping, scheduling, forecasting, and absence management for a large-scale operation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end workforce management solutions using UKG products including ProWFM, SWP, Datahub, and integration platforms
• Architect integration flows between WFM systems and enterprise applications such as HRIS, payroll, ERP, and reporting tools
• Leverage AI and machine learning to enhance workforce management processes and user experience
• Conduct detailed technical analysis of business requirements and design scalable application architectures
• Serve as technical subject matter expert for implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
• Design secure integration solutions using platforms like Boomi, ensuring data accuracy and minimal latency
• Build data pipelines and develop automation capabilities for connected commerce workflows
• Create comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications, user guides, and training materials
• Ensure compliance with security and data governance policies across multiple markets and geographies
• Lead and mentor team members while coordinating deliverables across multiple partners
• Guide teams in maintaining automated testing for APIs and architectural patterns

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 8+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years specifically in UKG (formerly Kronos) ProWFM implementations
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Expertise designing and deploying cloud-based applications, preferably on GCP
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python
• Experience with AI/ML platforms, LLMs, and RPA concepts
• Proficiency with integration platforms including Boomi AtomSphere, custom connectors, APIs, and process flows
• Deep knowledge of integration patterns, REST APIs, web services, and synchronous/asynchronous communication methods
• Experience with API management platforms, documentation, versioning, and monitoring using cloud observability tools
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and data streaming methodologies
• DevOps proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, serverless architecture, and messaging platforms (IBM MQ, Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub)
• Test-driven development approach with proficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Database expertise across RDBMS (SQL), NoSQL, Postgres, BigQuery, and Looker Studio
• Knowledge of security principles, authentication mechanisms, encryption, and GDPR compliance
• Strong collaboration skills with ability to coordinate multiple deliverables across partners
• Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global team collaboration
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
