About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS organization that develops advanced analytics software for industrial sectors. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a fully remote engineering team based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a sophisticated calculation engine that processes streaming time-series data, incorporating modern technologies including generative AI capabilities. You'll contribute to a product that serves customers in pharmaceuticals, energy, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve complex software systems with a focus on elegance, extensibility, and maintainability
- Own features end-to-end across both frontend and backend codebases
- Build large-scale React applications using TypeScript for the frontend
- Develop backend functionality using Python, Node.js, or JVM languages
- Take on leadership responsibilities and mentor junior engineers to help scale the team
- Participate actively in code reviews, treating them as learning opportunities
- Collaborate through pair-programming and other agile methodologies
- Advocate for unit testing, continuous integration, and elegant technical solutions
- Work with databases, distributed computing systems, and cloud platforms
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Substantial professional experience in software development with a proven record of designing and evolving complex systems over multiple years
- Strong expertise in building large React applications with TypeScript
- Expertise in one or more backend languages such as Python, Node.js, or JVM-based languages
- Deep understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Proven leadership skills with ability to guide and mentor other engineers
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
- Authorized to work in the United States (note: our client does not sponsor F1 or H-1B visas)
