E-Commerce Product Owner:in (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking an E-Commerce Product Owner to drive conversion optimization and user experience excellence. In this role, you will:

• Own the product roadmap for the webshop, prioritizing features based on measurable business impact and ensuring seamless UI/UX across all devices
• Optimize the entire conversion funnel from search through product pages to checkout, identifying and addressing friction points
• Take KPI responsibility for conversion rate, average order value, cart abandonment, and revenue per visitor
• Develop and execute data-driven experiments using GA4, BI tools, and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and drive growth
• Build customer-friendly compatibility filters and smart bundling mechanics that reduce complexity and increase basket value
• Implement innovative AI-powered shopping features including guided selling, semantic search, and conversational assistants
• Serve as the interface between product development, design, operations, and marketing teams, translating customer needs into clear technical requirements
• Ensure release quality meets the highest standards for customer experience

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with proven e-commerce expertise and a commercial mindset:

• Several years of hands-on experience in transactional e-commerce with documented success improving conversion rates and funnel performance
• Strong command of web analytics (GA4, tracking concepts, dashboards) and basic SQL knowledge
• Solid understanding of modern e-commerce platforms such as Shopware, Magento, commercetools, or headless/API-based architectures
• Commercial acumen with the ability to think in contribution margins and unit economics, prioritizing ruthlessly by P&L impact
• Excellent eye for intuitive user flows and commitment to shipping only high-quality, customer-friendly web applications
• AI-first mindset, leveraging AI tools naturally in daily workflows to accelerate analysis, specifications, and experimentation
• Native-level German and excellent English communication skills
• Preference for office-first collaboration and appreciation for fast, in-person communication in a Berlin-Mitte location

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with complex or technical consumer products requiring customer education
• Understanding of platform ecosystems and compatibility standards
• Sense for merchandising, pricing interfaces, and margin logic for product sets and bundles
