About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech client seeking a Director of Trading to own and scale their FX trading operations. This is a London-based hybrid role reporting to the Head of Treasury, managing live trading across emerging-market corridors, G10 treasury positions, and stablecoin liquidity channels.

This is a hands-on leadership position with direct P&L accountability. You'll run an active trading desk handling real volume across 40+ currencies, manage a panel of liquidity providers, and lead a specialist trading team through a period of significant growth.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day FX execution across emerging-market and G10 currency pairs, establishing standards for execution quality, pricing discipline, and risk management
• Take full P&L accountability for trading margin, managing spreads between sourcing costs and pricing targets on a corridor-by-corridor basis with clear performance attribution
• Build and maintain the liquidity provider panel—onboarding new counterparties, benchmarking pricing competitiveness, renegotiating terms, and managing concentration risk
• Optimize funding strategies for each corridor, including stablecoin sourcing where it offers cost or speed advantages over traditional fiat rails
• Collaborate with Treasury on pre-funding requirements and working capital, recognizing how execution timing impacts overall funding needs
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Compliance on counterparty risk assessment and settlement workflows
• Lead and develop the existing trading team, building capability and driving automation to enable scalable growth
• Translate complex FX market dynamics into clear insights and decisions for senior stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record running FX execution in emerging markets with direct ownership of margin or P&L targets under volatile market conditions
• Deep experience managing liquidity provider relationships and leading specialist trading teams
• Strong command of hedging strategies, exposure limit frameworks, and the unit economics of cross-border payment flows
• Working knowledge of stablecoins (USDC/USDT) as sourcing and settlement tools
• Comfortable with automation, data analysis, and financial modeling to drive trading decisions
• High ownership mentality with a data-driven, action-oriented approach
• Direct communication style and sound judgment under pressure with incomplete information
• Experience operating in London-based or UK-regulated trading environments

Pay
