Working Student / Intern – Industrialization Land / UGV (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential engineering organization in their search for a Working Student or Intern to support the industrialization of unmanned ground vehicle systems. This is a hands-on role based in Göppingen, offering direct exposure to production ramp-up processes and cross-functional collaboration in a real manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with our client's industrialization team and external consulting partners, taking ownership of defined work packages in documentation, data management, and production planning. This position offers valuable experience in transforming prototype-based operations into scalable serial production.

Responsibilities

• Support shopfloor planning activities by documenting current-state processes and contributing to layout planning, material flow design, and production cycle data including cycle times, workstation utilization, and walking distances
• Assist in structuring and documenting assembly processes for different vehicle variants down to individual work-step level
• Create and maintain illustrated work instructions for production processes
• Collect, prepare, and analyze process-related data using Excel
• Support qualification and training activities by maintaining workstation-specific skill matrices and preparing training materials for assembly teams
• Prepare and follow up on workshops and alignment meetings with external consulting partners, including meeting minutes, task tracking, and status reporting
• Collaborate across Production, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics departments

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Logistics, or a comparable field of study
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; initial experience with CAD or layout planning tools is a plus
• First practical experience in manufacturing, workshop environments, or through academic projects is welcome but not required
• Accurate and reliable approach to creating documentation and maintaining data, including recurring tasks
• Structured and independent working style with willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow up proactively
• Open and professional communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners
• Regular availability to work on-site in Göppingen; scope and duration can be tailored individually
• Good German and English language skills
• Experience using AI tools effectively
• Available to start immediately or by November 1st at the latest
