About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential infrastructure provider based in Germany that is building the next generation of their Kubernetes-based hosting platform. Our client is expanding with two new platform teams launching in January 2027, and we're seeking DevOps Engineers to join this exciting initiative.
This role offers a structured onboarding program starting January 4th, 2027, where you'll join other new team members in an intensive training focused on Go, Linux, Kubernetes, and Helm. You'll learn how the system environment is built and how to contribute to its ongoing development. After onboarding, you'll transition into your team where you'll apply your knowledge, continue learning, and gradually take on increasing responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the system environment for web hosting products, ensuring smooth operations
- Develop and enhance a Kubernetes-based hosting platform with focus on stability, performance, and scalability
- Work on advanced use cases including Kubernetes Operators development and bare metal deployments
- Monitor Kubernetes clusters using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Opsgenie for proactive issue prevention
- Create new automation solutions through creative approaches and improve platform quality with your ideas
- Stay current with developments in the open-source world and experiment with emerging technologies
What We're Looking For
- Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to finding solutions
- Deep curiosity about how systems work, with ability to understand dependencies and complex relationships
- Persistence in diving deep into topics until you truly understand them
- Hands-on experience setting up servers, whether for gaming, home projects, or learning purposes
- Experimentation with Linux, containers, and cloud tools, with desire to work close to the system level
- Analytical thinking and ability to work through problems methodically
- Interest in working with Kubernetes, Go, and infrastructure automation
Location and Work Arrangement
This position is based in Espelkamp, Germany. Our client offers flexible working arrangements with glide time, 30 vacation days, and a permanent employment contract.
