About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential retail organization in Metz, France, seeking multiple senior fullstack developers with a strong backend focus. Our client operates a digital factory that designs and develops front-office digital services for in-store teams, including web and mobile applications.

In this Tech Lead role, you'll drive the evolution of in-store checkout solutions across traditional, self-service, and self-scanning systems. Your mission centers on three key pillars: technical project management across the full software lifecycle, hands-on development and maintenance of digital services, and team mentorship to elevate architectural decisions and developer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical coordination, priority management, and delivery across the complete software development lifecycle
• Develop and maintain robust digital services using Java, Spring Boot, and Vue.js, ensuring technical excellence aligned with operational store requirements
• Provide daily team guidance, facilitate architectural choices, and drive skills development across the development team
• Deliver secure code on core components with rigorous code review validation
• Produce technical design documentation, up-to-date architecture diagrams, and define best practices
• Maintain technical roadmaps and project tracking indicators covering progress, quality, and technical debt
• Create knowledge-sharing materials and support continuous team growth
• Contribute to ongoing product quality improvement and development practice enhancement
• Participate in all phases from design through production deployment and operational run

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bac+5 degree from engineering school or university in computer science, or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of fullstack development experience with Java and Vue.js, backend-dominant
• Proven Tech Lead experience
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD tooling, Git, and continuous deployment pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent)
• Expertise in project management tools (Jira, Confluence) for ticket management, sprints, and technical debt tracking
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications with Java, Spring Boot, and Vue.js
• Experience architecting microservices and event-driven solutions
• Competence managing relational and document-oriented databases

Preferred:

• Integration of craftsmanship principles and best practices including SOLID, YAGNI, and test coverage with Sonar
• Experience in retail or large-scale distribution sectors
