Role Overview
This position offers the chance to develop deep expertise in one of law's most dynamic practice areas. You'll handle litigation spanning cybersecurity incidents, data breach response, privacy law disputes, and regulatory investigations—serving the legal needs of forward-thinking organizations facing these critical issues. Your work will involve strategic thinking, detailed legal analysis, and direct involvement in case development from inception through trial preparation and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on cyber, data privacy, and regulatory litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
- Manage document review and case analysis across multiple engagements
- Support clients in responding to regulatory inquiries and investigative demands
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and litigation planning
- Communicate with clients regarding legal developments and case status updates
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Illinois State Bar or willingness to obtain it
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet client deadlines
- Interest in or experience with cybersecurity, data privacy, or regulatory law
- Excellent communication skills and client service orientation
- Detail-oriented approach with commitment to litigation excellence
