About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential engineering firm seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join their renewable energy structural design team. This position is based in Richmond, VA, with remote work options available for qualified candidates. You'll contribute to innovative solar and structural projects while working with an experienced design group.
Responsibilities
- Design steel piles and steel connections for structural applications in renewable energy projects
- Develop cast-in-place concrete slab designs for solar installations
- Apply renewable energy systems knowledge to structural engineering challenges
- Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Support project and task management activities across multiple engagements
- Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in solar structure design
- PE License is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in structural design software, especially LPile, Mathcad, and Excel
- Experience using AutoCAD for plan development
- Familiarity with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability for creating pile plot plans is a plus
- Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment

Pay
Our client offers competitive compensation in the range of $82,000-$90,000, with flexibility for experienced candidates. This position is eligible for straight-time overtime. The role also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
