About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology client seeking fluent Southern American English dialect speakers for a remote audio data collection project. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity that allows you to contribute to voice technology development from anywhere in the United States.

This is a short-term project with straightforward recording tasks that can be completed on your own schedule. The work involves reading scripted prompts to help develop and improve AI voice recognition systems.

Responsibilities

• Record scripted audio prompts (each under one minute in length) using the client's online platform
• Read each script prompt accurately and naturally in Southern American English dialect
• Use a laptop or desktop computer to complete recordings
• Follow provided guidelines to ensure clarity, consistency, and natural delivery
• Complete approximately 1-2 hours of recording work

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native proficiency in Southern American English dialect
• Proficient in English for understanding guidelines and communication
• Ability to record clear audio with minimal background noise, free of echo or distortion
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer with stable internet connection
• Headset or external microphone recommended for quality recordings
• Availability to start as soon as possible
• Based in the United States
