About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential remote services organization seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to support executive leadership for select client engagements. This is an independent contractor role requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Our client connects businesses across nonprofit, legal, coaching, and finance sectors with strategic-level professionals. As part of their talent network, you'll operate as a trusted advisor to founders and executives who need more than operational support—they need someone who can think at their level, filter what deserves their attention, and translate vision into organizational action.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executives, thinking alongside them on decisions, priorities, and organizational direction
  • Filter and manage what reaches the executive's attention, distinguishing between what requires their judgment and what can be delegated
  • Translate executive vision into clear direction for teams, ensuring organizational alignment
  • Prepare executives for high-stakes meetings, presentations, and board conversations with briefings, talking points, and research
  • Oversee and synthesize business reporting to provide executives with real-time operational insights
  • Act as senior liaison between executives and internal teams, external stakeholders, partners, and clients
  • Identify strategic gaps, emerging risks, or organizational misalignments and present solutions
  • Support organizational planning including quarterly priorities, team structure, and resource allocation
  • Draft high-level communications including board memos, partner correspondence, and leadership updates
  • Manage sensitive information spanning personnel, financials, legal matters, and strategic plans with discretion
  • Lead special projects requiring senior-level coordination beyond existing operational scope
  • Monitor executive bandwidth and proactively restructure commitments when necessary
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure strategic priorities translate into execution

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States
  • At least 7 years of experience in senior operational, strategic, or executive-level support roles
  • At least 3 years of full-time virtual or remote work experience
  • Available minimum 20 hours per week for high-touch, daily client engagement
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including executive-level presentations and reporting
  • Experienced use of Slack and Zoom for senior coordination and leadership communication
  • Ability to quickly learn and work within any CRM or project management system
  • Experience managing large-scale travel and event logistics across multiple vendors and stakeholders
  • Comfort with strategic planning tools such as Notion, Lucidchart, Loom, or equivalent platforms
  • General AI literacy with ability to apply AI tools to improve executive output and decision-making support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Zapier
  • Experience with financial planning, reporting, or budgeting tools at organizational level
  • Exposure to board-level or investor-facing documentation and communications
  • Advanced certifications in executive leadership, organizational management, or strategic planning
