Senior Manager, Business Architecture

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential insurance technology organization in their search for a Senior Manager, Business Architecture. This is a people-leadership role at the intersection of strategic consulting, delivery execution, and team development. You'll lead a team of consultants delivering enterprise insurance platform implementations, partnering with customer executives and architects to translate business objectives into scalable solutions.

This position is ideal for someone who has built their career within a system integrator consulting environment and brings deep Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain expertise. You'll advise executive stakeholders, lead complex transformation programs, and establish delivery standards across large-scale enterprise implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead business architecture workstreams for large-scale insurance platform implementations, ensuring alignment with customer business objectives and industry best practices
• Define business requirements and validate solution designs across core insurance functions including Claims, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Distribution, and Billing
• Provide mentorship and oversight to Business Analysts and consultants, reviewing and approving requirements and solution designs
• Establish project and team standards for business requirements, solution design, and documentation while ensuring consistent adoption
• Lead business elaboration sessions covering platform capabilities, integrations, reporting, analytics, and data management
• Anticipate implementation risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies in partnership with delivery teams
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customer executives, architects, and delivery leadership, presenting solution roadmaps to senior stakeholders
• Partner with client business leaders and enterprise architects to ensure solutions address regulatory, financial, and operational requirements
• Lead and develop a team of Professional Services consultants, providing coaching, career development, and performance feedback
• Support pre-sales activities including solution reviews, estimates, and proposal development
• Contribute to business architecture standards, playbooks, and reusable delivery assets
• Leverage AI tools to improve delivery productivity and drive innovation across implementations

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in enterprise software business architecture with significant implementation and delivery experience
• Deep expertise implementing insurance suite products including policy management, claims management, and billing platforms
• Required experience in a client-facing consulting role with a system integrator partner delivering insurance platform implementation programs
• Demonstrated Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry expertise with experience in one or more core business domains
• Proven ability to define business application solutions across multiple workstreams and enterprise programs
• Demonstrated ability to develop business requirements that maximize platform base functionality
• Experience partnering with customer program managers, architects, technical teams, and executive stakeholders
• Experience supporting pre-sales activities including solution estimation and proposal reviews
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and cloud implementation strategies
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire consulting teams
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related analytical discipline
• Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer engagements and practice leadership activities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multiple insurance platform certifications (Business Analyst certifications across policy, claims, and billing products)
• Experience leading requirements definition across cloud implementations
• Deep expertise with cloud platform products and architecture
• Strong understanding of insurance enterprise systems and end-to-end business processes
• Experience mentoring first-time managers or team leads
• Experience leading digital transformation or cloud modernization programs
• Contributions to internal frameworks, accelerators, reusable assets, or delivery methodologies
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, CBA, CPCU, CIC, CRM, ARM, AAI, or AINS
• Experience building Communities of Practice or mentoring Business Architects across multiple teams

Pay

This is a billable consulting role with a 65% utilization target. Pay details will be discussed during the screening process based on your experience, skills, and location.
