Dutch Language Expert – AI Safety

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking a Dutch Language Expert – AI Safety based in Belgium. This is a remote contract role focused on improving how AI systems handle sensitive topics in Belgian Dutch.

Our client works at the frontier of AI safety and needs native-level linguistic and cultural expertise to evaluate model behavior across challenging subject areas.

Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Belgian Dutch across a range of sensitive subject areas
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations
• Flag adversarial phrasings and escalation patterns, documenting the reasoning behind your judgments
• Evaluate and strengthen how AI models handle sensitive topics in Dutch as spoken in Belgium
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance

What We're Looking For

Must-Have:

• Native or near-native fluency in Dutch as spoken in Belgium
• Business-level written English
• Currently based in Belgium
• Bachelor's degree, completed or in progress
• Strong written reasoning and high attention to detail
• Sound judgment around sensitive and dual-use information

Preferred:

• Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming written or technical content
• Background in trust and safety, content moderation, policy evaluation, or adversarial testing
