We're seeking a skilled Chef for our Chalton, Bedfordshire location to join Greene King's kitchen team. This part-time position offers an opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise in a busy, professional hospitality environment where your cooking and teamwork are valued.

Position Summary

As a Chef at Greene King in Chalton, you'll take a central role in preparing and cooking dishes that meet our high standards for flavour, presentation, and quality. You'll work within a professional kitchen setting, adapting to service demands whilst maintaining consistency and food safety throughout your shift. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering excellent food to our customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to established recipes and plating standards
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation at your station
• Comply with food hygiene regulations and health and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with kitchen colleagues during service
• Manage ingredients and communicate stock levels to relevant team members
• Contribute positively to a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Support the team in delivering consistent, quality meals

Who We're Looking For

• Professional kitchen experience in a similar hospitality setting
• Solid understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
• Ability to work effectively under pressure during service periods
