Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Chef to join our establishment in Ashton-In-Makerfield. This is a part-time Chef position where you'll take responsibility for kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. Your culinary skills and leadership will be central to creating memorable dining experiences for our customers across Lancashire and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to established recipes and plating standards
• Manage kitchen workflow and coordinate with front-of-house teams
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with environmental health regulations
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control
• Manage stock rotation, inventory, and food waste responsibly
• Support menu delivery and contribute ideas to enhance our offering
• Train and guide kitchen team members as required

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning
• Level 2 Food Safety in Catering qualification or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
• Team player with strong communication and leadership capabilities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and kitchen demands
