Chef

Greene King is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team at our Sticklepath, Devon location. This is a full-time position where you'll lead food preparation and maintain our culinary standards across every service.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Chef to take charge of food production, kitchen operations, and menu execution at our Sticklepath establishment. You'll work within our established kitchen framework, delivering consistent, quality dishes to our customers whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen environment and takes pride in their craft.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook dishes according to our established recipes and plating standards
• Manage mise en place and ensure ingredients are properly prepped and organised
• Oversee food quality, portion control, and presentation across all services
• Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and kitchen hygiene protocols
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and wider restaurant staff to deliver excellent customer experiences
• Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering requirements
• Support training and development of junior kitchen team members

What You Bring

• Proven professional cooking experience in a busy restaurant or pub kitchen
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
• Proficiency with standard kitchen equipment and techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality standards
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work varied shift patterns as required
• A passion for food and commitment to continuous improvement
