Associate Director Contracts & Trade Controls

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals seeks an experienced Associate Director of Contracts & Trade Controls to join our manufacturing and operations team in Watervliet, Albany County. In this pivotal legal and business partnership role, you'll provide comprehensive counsel to our industrial operations, ensuring compliance and commercial success across our complex global supply chain.

About the Role

As Associate Director of Contracts & Trade Controls at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, you'll serve as a key member of our legal team supporting the Industrial Operations and Product Supply division. This full-time position combines strategic legal expertise with operational insight, allowing you to influence how we conduct business at scale.

What You'll Do

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts spanning procurement, manufacturing partnerships, distribution, and regulatory compliance
• Advise on trade controls, export regulations, and compliance obligations across our international operations
• Provide legal counsel on operational issues affecting manufacturing efficiency, supply chain resilience, and cost management
• Partner with operations, procurement, and commercial teams to resolve complex business and legal challenges
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and templates to support consistent, compliant contract management
• Monitor regulatory developments and adapt strategies to evolving legal and trade environments

What We're Looking For

• Law degree (JD) from an accredited institution
• Active bar membership in the US
• 5+ years of corporate legal experience, ideally in pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial operations
• Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, review, and negotiation
• Working knowledge of trade compliance, export controls, and international trade regulations
• Strong business acumen and ability to balance legal risk with operational needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments
