Director Compliance Counsel

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director of Compliance Counsel for a full-time position based in Sleepy Hollow, Kane County. We're looking for an experienced attorney to lead compliance investigations and risk mitigation across our global enterprise, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and internal policies.

Position Summary

As Director of Compliance Counsel, you'll serve as a trusted legal advisor responsible for overseeing compliance matters throughout Regeneron's operations. This role sits at the critical intersection of legal expertise, regulatory knowledge, and business strategy. You'll investigate complex compliance issues, develop preventive measures, and guide the organization through intricate regulatory landscapes. Your work directly impacts our ability to operate with integrity while advancing breakthrough medicines for patients worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into potential compliance violations and conduct thorough legal reviews of business practices
• Advise business units and leadership on regulatory requirements, legal risks, and compliance best practices
• Develop and implement compliance policies, training programs, and monitoring procedures across multiple jurisdictions
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, operations, and specialized departments
• Address cross-border compliance challenges and coordinate with international teams and external counsel
• Document findings and provide clear, actionable legal counsel to support organizational decision-making

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of legal experience, including substantial time in compliance, investigations, or regulatory counsel roles
• JD from an accredited law school; active bar license in good standing
• Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similarly regulated industries
• Strong ability to manage complex investigations and communicate findings to diverse audiences
• Proven skill in building cross-functional relationships and influencing without direct authority
• Experience navigating international regulatory frameworks and multi-jurisdictional legal issues
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and commitment to ethical business practices
