AOS – AFE Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential recruitment organization based in Melbourne that is building out its operational infrastructure. This is a foundational hire—you'll be the first operations-focused team member supporting talent acquisition workflows, candidate coordination, and recruitment systems management.

Our client specializes in education sector placements across Australia. As their Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist, you'll manage candidate pipelines, conduct initial screenings, coordinate compliance documentation, and maintain recruitment platform accuracy. You'll work closely with leadership to ensure smooth operational delivery while they focus on client partnerships and final-stage interviews.

This is a remote, full-time permanent position based in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Source qualified educators across Australia using LinkedIn, job boards, community groups, and internal databases
• Build and maintain structured talent pools for teaching and education support roles
• Conduct initial candidate screening conversations to assess qualifications, subject specializations, location preferences, and visa considerations
• Coordinate candidate compliance documentation including identification, registration records, and employment history verification
• Ensure candidate files are complete and compliant before advancing through recruitment stages
• Maintain professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment journey
• Manage workflows within the applicant tracking system (JobAdder), including resume formatting and candidate submissions
• Schedule interviews and keep candidate records current and accurate
• Support market research by identifying schools and leadership contacts across Victoria
• Assist with recruitment marketing and outreach campaigns

What We're Looking For

• Experience in recruitment support, talent acquisition coordination, or candidate management
• Confidence conducting screening conversations and assessing candidate fit
• Strong organizational skills and disciplined workflow management
• High attention to detail with accurate record-keeping practices
• Experience using an applicant tracking system or CRM (JobAdder or similar platforms preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Bonus qualifications:

• Background in education or healthcare recruitment
• Experience handling international candidate documentation
• Basic design or recruitment marketing skills (Canva or similar tools)
• Familiarity with AI-assisted sourcing or recruitment tools
