About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential client in the energy efficiency sector who is seeking an experienced Energy Engineer to support sustainability initiatives across Canada. This is a remote role based in British Columbia, with preference for candidates in the lower mainland. Travel averages approximately 20% annually, primarily within the region, with occasional Canada-wide requirements.

Responsibilities
- Conduct energy audits, assessments, and engineering studies across commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities, with emphasis on industrial environments
- Identify energy conservation measures and calculate savings using engineering principles including thermodynamics, mechanics, fan laws, and energy-use analysis
- Support Measurement & Verification activities, including data collection, analysis of energy consumption data, and reporting energy and demand savings
- Prepare clear technical reports and recommendations explaining energy-saving opportunities and expected impact
- Conduct site visits for audits, studies, coaching, and data logger installation or removal, working alongside qualified trades where required
- Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Process)
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
- 5+ years of experience in energy management, energy engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience conducting energy audits, engineering studies, or energy conservation projects
- Experience working with a variety of facility types, ideally including industrial sites
- Ability to manage work independently with minimal supervision and contribute with limited ramp-up time
- Ability to travel nationwide (20%)
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Measurement & Verification certification, such as CMVP or equivalent
- Experience with energy data logging, sub-metering, interval data, or metering equipment
- Experience supporting utility-driven demand-side management or energy conservation programs
- Experience in a consulting, energy services, utility, or similar energy conservation environment
- Valid driver's license

Pay
Pay via Get A Job.ai will be based on experience and qualifications, with our client's target compensation range of $104,000 - $110,000 CAD annually.
