About This Role

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization operating in the medical cannabis sector across Canada. Our client is seeking a Patient Care Representative to join their virtual clinic team, supporting patients through medical cannabis treatment pathways for chronic conditions including pain, anxiety, sleep disorders, and PTSD.

This is a full-time remote position based in Canada, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Support patient intake and coordination processes, including education, triage, and appointment booking to ensure clinically appropriate and patient-centered experiences
  • Execute appointment scheduling activities for new patients, follow-ups, and rescheduling while maintaining efficient clinic flow
  • Conduct proactive outbound patient engagement to support continuity of care and appointment adherence
  • Address patient questions and concerns while gathering detailed patient history to support treatment planning
  • Provide medical cannabis education to patients via phone and digital platforms, ensuring understanding of treatment protocols
  • Manage inbound and outbound communications with patients and stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Perform structured patient triage, assessing needs, eligibility, and urgency through patient interactions
  • Document patient interactions thoroughly and accurately within EMR systems and tracking tools, maintaining compliance with privacy obligations
  • Support coordination of patient-facing events and clinic initiatives, including outreach and follow-up communications
  • Meet or exceed defined performance metrics and KPIs

What We're Looking For

  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Customer service or call center experience within healthcare or hospitality industry preferred
  • Proficient in English with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and French strongly preferred (bilingual candidates receive higher compensation)
  • Experience with clinical databases or EMR systems preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address challenging situations
  • Demonstrated empathy and emotional intelligence with ability to build relationships and support patient health improvements
  • Meticulous attention to detail with initiative-taking abilities
  • Strong analytical skills to drive productivity and efficiencies
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with flexibility and openness to innovation
  • Excellent listening, communication, and collaboration skills
