Android Engineer (mid-level)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential travel technology organization seeking a mid-level Android Engineer to join their European engineering team. This position is based in Poland and offers a remote-first working model with periodic in-person collaboration at their Kraków office hub.

Our client operates a platform that connects millions of users with travel experiences globally. Their mobile engineering team builds consumer-facing applications and the infrastructure that supports international operations at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using modern technologies including Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, and GraphQL
• Build features end-to-end within a modular architecture following clean architecture principles with MVVM
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define specifications and deliver high-quality features
• Work across the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment and iteration
• Contribute to backend microservices when needed, touching code at multiple levels of the stack
• Release features frequently in a fast-paced environment alongside distributed engineering teams
• Take ownership of code quality, testing, and maintenance

What We're Looking For

• 2-8 years of commercial software development experience solving diverse technical problems
• Proven experience developing Android applications
• Strong knowledge of reactive programming in native mobile platforms
• Familiarity with mobile web and backend technologies is beneficial
• Ability to break down complex problems into simple, elegant solutions
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
• Located within commutable distance (up to 1.5 hours) of Kraków, Poland
