Manager, Global Procurement Phones

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a leading international nonprofit organization in their search for a Manager, Global Procurement Phones. This confidential client operates programs across 15 countries and manages high-volume mobile device procurement to support cash transfer operations serving millions of beneficiaries worldwide.

This remote role requires overlap with East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours and reports to the Senior Manager, Global Supply Chain. The organization cannot sponsor employment visas in the U.S. or U.K. at this time.

Responsibilities

You will own end-to-end procurement for nearly one million mobile devices annually across multiple country programs:

• Forecasting & Planning: Partner with country operations teams to build rolling demand forecasts by country and model; translate forecasts into purchase timelines that avoid stockouts and overstock
• Sourcing & Supplier Management: Own supplier communication for feature phones and smartphones; run RFQ/RFP processes to onboard new vendors; track supplier performance and address quality, pricing, or reliability issues
• Order & Payment Management: Process and track purchase orders from request through delivery; coordinate with Finance on vendor payments and invoice discrepancies; manage returns, warranty claims, and defective-device resolution
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Track On-Time-In-Full delivery, cost savings, and stakeholder satisfaction; flag emerging risks including price increases, supply shortages, and customs delays before they impact delivery

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years in procurement, supply chain, or vendor/category management; electronics, telecom, or hardware sourcing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with demand forecasting and purchase order management
• Strong negotiation skills and proven track record managing supplier relationships, including resolving commercial disputes like returns and warranty claims
• Professional experience working in one or more African countries is required for candidates based outside the continent
• Comfort coordinating across multiple African countries, time zones, and stakeholder groups including programs, finance, and country operations teams
• Strong emotional intelligence, problem-solving, project management, and follow-through capabilities
• Professional fluency in English required

Pay

This position is remote with location-based compensation. Our client uses third-party salary data to ensure competitive and equitable pay based on role and cost of living, with a no-negotiation policy.

Estimated ranges through our client (for reference only):

• United States: Base approximately $99,440 plus 10% performance bonus and benefits stipend
• United Kingdom: Base approximately £66,150 plus 10% performance bonus and benefits stipend
• Kenya: Base approximately $65,000 plus 10% performance bonus
• Other eligible countries: Salary benchmarks shared during interview process
