About the Role
This is a locum tenens opportunity designed for anesthesiologists seeking temporary assignments with schedule flexibility. You'll deliver perioperative anesthesia services across a diverse range of surgical specialties and patient populations. Work Monday through Friday with shift options ranging from 8 to 12 hours, including evening shifts that align with your preferences and availability.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for surgical patients, including pre-operative assessment, induction, maintenance, and recovery management
- Monitor vital signs and patient physiological status throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and the broader surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain detailed anesthesia records and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards
- Adapt to varied facility environments and surgical schedules while maintaining clinical excellence
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO degree in anesthesiology with active, unrestricted California medical license
- Board certification or Board eligible status preferred
- Current DEA registration and ability to obtain facility credentials
- Valid CPR certification and ACLS certification
- Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain through CompHealth
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within healthcare teams
- Flexibility and adaptability to different facility protocols and patient populations
